Comfort Co-Ed Relay Completed
Monday Aug. 20th.
Saturday morning meant a one and a half hour drive out to Comfort, Texas for the 2nd Annual Comfort Co-ed Relay. This was not a formally scored race but a great and fun way to start out the season. Since we had an uneven mix of boys and girls, we wound up mixing and matching with other teams. A big thanks to coach Billy Nabours of Comfort High School's Cross Country Team who helped me (Coach Sam) with my first-ever competitive meet. Team member times are posted in stats. Next stop is San Antonio for the TMI Episcopal Meet. This will be the first "Formal" race with separate divisions for Jr. High.
Panthers First Cross Country Track Season Begins!
August 15th, 2012
Last year we had 7 students but the idea for a cross country team started late. As a result, Panthers only competed in road races including the Kyle-O-Meter and most notably the Marathon for Adoption where we helped raise money for Chris and Jodi's adoption of two children. THIS YEAR our 10 girls and 3 boys will be competing in Jr. High and High School meets, including meets held by FEAST Homeschool in San Antonio, and the Comfort Texas Co-ed relay this Saturday the 18th.
So What's Going On Here?
My name is Samuel Fullman. I coach Cross Country for the Panthers Home Schoolers and I'm working on a site for the Panthers' various teams which everyone involved can contribute to, and which will integrate with FaceBook and Twitter as well. Be nice for example, if you could text a comment right to a game, or upload a picture you took at the game. This is a volunteer project, and if you want to see the "real" site please go to http://sanmarcospanthers.homestead.com/ - credit to Coach Don Brewer for all of his (continual) hard work - thank all you coaches for the work you do to make the Panthers a continued success.
We serve home school parents and organizations from Austin to New Braunfels and currently have home school Track/Cross Country, Basketball, 6-man Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading and if I'm missing anything tell me. Age ranges are from junior high through high school.
